Our CF Fundraising

Deirdre has amazing uncles, aunts, cousins, neighbors, friends, and parents (of course!) who support her in all she does. She is very blessed and many of these blessings come from all her loving grandparents who have since passed away. [We’re confident they have a direct connection to Him and are asking for blessings for all those with CF.]

Our family participates in cystic fibrosis fundraising events throughout the year.

The showcase event each year is the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation sponsored Great Strides Walk for which we solicit donations from hundreds of relatives, neighbors, friends, businesses, etc.

The response is always very rewarding as we hear from people who look forward each year to help our cause – find a cure for CF.

We receive donations from $10 to thousands of dollars. We have many stories of extremely generous and giving folks.

• a 50/50 raffle on Facebook raising thousands of dollars
• a best friend organizing a bake sale every year raising hundreds of dollars (thanks Sue!)
• the guy we met at a bar and wrote a check for $1,000
• an anonymous donor donating $6,000 – for the past 7 years!
• our relatives and friends engaging in letter-writing and social media campaigns to their friends and neighbors
• and many more.

Deirdre is very fortunate to have such folks and countless others who we will never know. We (you!) have raised more than $535,000 to help find a cure for CF!!
